Microsoft is actively marketing against IE6. This is great. “…dedicated to watching IE6 usage drop to less than 1% worldwide … saving hours of work for web developers.” More like days, but I agree with the sentiment.

How about this for an unsupported hypothesis: of all software applications ever invented, IE6 has the greatest quantity of widely-known bugs. For example, over ten years how many HTML developers have experienced the clipped “W”? 100,000?

Wow, according to MSFT, IE6 is now <1% of browser usage (though only in the US, it's still much higher in e.g. China). Still, I didn't think we'd see this so soon--kudos for MSFT for helping get their users upgraded--eventually.
