Some highlights from my recent vacation:
Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky is fantastic. The tours were great — there’s a lot more history and understandable geology than I expected. We took the Historic and New Entrance tours. You definitely need to book a tour in advance though because the good time slots sell out pretty early.
The Crown Plaza hotel in Indianapolis is fun. It’s in the former Union Station building, and they converted ten Pullman train cars into modern hotel rooms. They’re a bit narrow but roomy enough, and fun for a reasonable cost. The hotel decor is interesting too, with stylized period statues scattered about.
Neat! I love caves, and the hotel sounds like a real find!
