Woot! One of my astronomy grad school buddies, Chris Howk, got his work written up in Ars Technica!

This is a cool discovery. Lithium abundance was critical to my PhD thesis work because young stars destroy almost all of their lithium through fusion in their first tens of million of years of life, so presence of lithium (detected via spectroscopy) is a signature of extreme youth.
