This video is a fantastic example of over-the-top marketing. The video editor they’re promoting look pretty amazing for the time, but even better I love how they used every possible effect in this 10-minute video. The scratchy audio of the Youtube upload just makes it better.

Dog bless the interwebs: here, ladies and gentlemen, is the aforementioned NewTek Video Toaster demo tape from 1994. Anyone who edits video today has no idea how easy they have it.
NewTek had very slick and engaging demos at NAB back in the day.

The audio is 20 years old, the narrator is the awesome Ken Nordine, and the later video is Hawaiian Chance by Yello.
The sound could have been normalized, but it would have messed up Nordine’s VO. look up his other works and you’ll notice he’s been doing it like this since the 1970s, also known as the guy who did the VO for Levi Jeans.
