
A friend of mine, John H. Moore, took this picture that was selected as today’s Astronomy Picture of the Day. I worked with John and Nick Glass on the TeachingBooks.net website many years ago.
I’ve had astronomer friends get credited for APoD before (like Chris Howk – http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap980318.html) but never a photographer.

NASA’s Astronomy Photo of the Day!
My recent shot of the Milky Way and Airglow (the green streaks) over Oregon’s Crater Lake was selected as NASA’s Astronomy Photo of the Day (APOD) for today!

Even more cool is that when you visit the APOD page and roll your mouse over my photo, they’ve annotated it with the various constellations visible in this shot!
