I just upgraded to Feedly Pro via their $99 lifetime subscription. I think it’s a nasty precedent that they’re holding HTTPS support hostage behind a subscription, but I’m pragmatically willing to pay it because I really want them to succeed and I’d prefer that they succeed via a subscription model than via an ad-supported model.
As this Atlantic article seems to conclude, it’s better to be a customer than a commodity because you have more voice with the company.
Pretty odd that they aren’t really telling to logged in users. At least I don’t see anything on my feedly.
Henk Poley It’s in the top bar on the index page. It looks a little like an ad so my eyes missed it the first time. Maybe you did the same? 🙂
I guess adblock thinks it’s an ad too.
Or do you have to be logged out?
Edit: Not even their blog mentions it 😕
My co-worker said it’s now gone for him too. Maybe they pulled it? The upgrade link is gone too, so maybe they already hit their 5000-user limit
