virginmobileusa did a really, really thorough job of hiding my account number, which made it complicated to transfer my number away from them. That said, their “customer retention” people were really friendly and gave me the number without a hassle when I asked. I searched retroactively and that number was not in any document I have from them not anywhere on my account page.
I was a customer of theirs for 10 years with very few complaints (well, I sometimes complained of cell voice/data quality, but you get what you pay for). I hope I can offer even higher praise for Republic Wireless many years from now.
