Chrome is getting a new internal URL, chrome://quit, to shut down the app. Apparently it’s useful in special cases.. What I liked was a note in the changelog that said they thought of the case where users save tabs and this would cause another quit on reloading your old tabs –> infinite quit loop. 🙂

The chromium team just introduced a new way to shut down Chrome, including Chrome Apps.
As you can see in the screenshot below, by simply typing chrome://quit in the last chromium build omnibox, Chrome will be completely shut down.
And if you’re looking for an easy way to restart¹ chrome, you can also use chrome://restart.
