I hope wi-fi calling becomes the norm on all phones. So far, my personal experience it pretty poor with Republic Wireless because their audio latency is terrible. But now Sprint and T-Mobile have this and I predict the quality will get better as it becomes mainstream.
If nothing else, maybe this could become a huge trigger for outrage about bufferbloat, leading to some real progress.

Have you heard FaceTime Audio? I love freaking friends out by calling them thought it. Phoned my college roommate this weekend: “what is this? It sounds like you’re RIGHT HERE, speaking into my ear!”
