I just learned belatedly that Project Fi subscribers can get a free second SIM for a data-only device (like an LTE tablet) that will share data quota with your phone account. That’s pretty awesome.

  1. Are you on fi, Chris Dolan​? I switched from T-mo about 6 weeks ago. Not perfect, but after some adjustments on my data use (much more WiFi dependent than before), my bill is about 40% less. And, as an Android user, I’ve gained the ability to send/receive SMS from the desktop. My old phone died, and I had no way of receiving texts until I got a replacement.

    Fi has some bugs, to be sure, but also a lot of potential.
