  1. So “collide” means their assigned boundaries will overlap somewhat ?? Why don’t physicists just say this…they hype non-events more prolifically than Fox TV network.

  2. Denis English​ a galaxy collision is more than just overlapping. The stars are very unlikely to actually hit, but their orbits will be disrupted and the gas clouds will indeed collide and will likely trigger a lot of new star formation

  3. Galaxy’s don’t collide and destroy each other, they tango and dance and become one bigger Galaxy fused with one another. Time it takes is millions of years and the distance between starts is unfathomable to a human life
