This animation is cool because it demonstrates the light collection power of ultra-large modern professional telescopes. It’s a little misleading though that it looks like the viewer is moving forward instead of just magnifying and brightening the field.

Zooming in on the unusual active galaxy Markarian 1018 | ESO

This sequence takes the viewer deep into the rather faint constellation of Cetus (The Sea Monster). In the final stages the faint active galaxy Markarian 1018 is seen, in a recent image from the MUSE instrument on ESO’s Very Large Telescope.
