In 2016 I was diagnosed with Alopecia which is a harmless autoimmune disorder that causes hair loss via inflammation of the hair follicles. Mine appears to be “Alopecia universalis” which is total loss of hair on the entire body. There are no side effects except hair.
I’ve gotten pretty used to my altered appearance, but it took me a while to get a photo that I liked, so I’m just now belatedly updating my profile.
The positive aspects:
– $$ saved on barber visits
– much shorter shower time
– I’ve learned a lot of great new bald jokes
– hat head and bad hair days no longer exist
